The doll on the left was bought in the street, close to a small village in Casamance. There are plenty of women selling hand-made dolls in the 'street'.
The second doll was made on the Gorée Island - the slaves island- , at an 'official' doll-maker's. Under the visible yellow dress, it wears a similar suit as the doll on the left.
Both are cloth dolls.
